How to repair the diesel water pump?
In addition to using the diesel water pump strictly in accordance with the installation instructions, two points should be noted:
One is not to rely solely on “experience”:
For example, when the bottom valve of the water pump leaks, some users, for convenience, put some dry soil into the inlet nozzle every time before turning on the pump, and then flush the soil to the bottom valve by pouring clean water to prevent the bottom valve from leaking. This method seems simple and easy to implement, but in fact it is very not recommended. Because when the diesel water pump starts to work, the sand and soil in the bottom valve will enter the pump body with the water flow. When it starts to work, it will begin to wear the impeller, pump body and shaft, which will seriously affect the service life. The correct method should be to overhaul the bottom valve. If it is really impossible to repair, it needs to be replaced.
The second is to eliminate the fault in time and avoid letting the diesel water pump work “ill”:
For example, when it is found that the shaft packing of diesel water pump is severely worn, add the packing in time, otherwise it will cause the diesel water pump shaft packing to leak air. Diesel water pump shaft packing leaks will not only cause excessive energy consumption, but also cavitation will occur, accelerate the damage of the impeller, and directly affect the service life of the diesel water pump. For another example, if the diesel water pump is found to vibrate severely, it should be shut down immediately for inspection, otherwise, the bending and deformation of the diesel water pump may cause a safety accident.
