ATS can be used in conjunction with silent diesel generator, ATS is also called an automatic transfer switch.
It consists of one (or several) transfer switch appliances and other necessary appliances. It is used to monitor the power supply circuit and automatically convert one or several load circuits from one power supply to another. Referred to as “dual power automatic transfer switch” or “dual power switch” in the electrical industry.
If you connect ATS with mains and generator, the ATS can make generator auto start when mains power shut down.
